Always too much but never enough

Too much ❤️

Thoughts cascade from within me like a relentless river, refusing to be contained by the boundaries of reason.

I am that person who spills my unfiltered thoughts to anyone who will listen; without pausing to consider the consequences. It is both a blessing and a curse, a double-edged sword that cuts deep.

Attention and affection… I yearn for someone who will think of me amidst the randomness of life, who will stumble upon something and instantly feel the need to share it with me. To be seen and cherished, even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, is a longing that resides deep within me.

But what are boundaries? A foreign concept to me, as my heart beats with indiscriminate love. Whether our paths have crossed or not, your pain becomes my pain, your sadness becomes my sadness. I am the emotional sponge, absorbing and feeling it all, often to my own detriment.

The path I have chosen is not an easy one. Rejection becomes a frequent visitor, as not everyone can handle the intensity of my relentless openness.

Yet, I have come to accept that this is simply a part of who I am. The ache that comes with being misunderstood and turned away pales in comparison to the joy I find in connecting with others and finally embracing my true self.

Within me resides a vibrant creativity that knows no bounds. Ideas spin and dance within the room of my mind, refusing to ever go quiet. It’s like living in a perpetual storm of thoughts and inspiration. Sometimes, this creative chaos spills over, leaving me lost in a sea of swirling emotions.

In addition to my overflowing nature, I am blessed with an intuitive heart. I have a knack for sensing when you need love, even if you push me away. It’s a gift that both supports and challenges me, a constant reminder of my purpose.

Living with such intensity can be daunting. The constant rejection I face weighs heavy on my soul, threatening to extinguish the fire within me. Yet, I cannot change who I am at my core. Perhaps, I am not meant to be loved in the conventional sense. Maybe, my purpose is to be the one who loves fiercely, unconditionally, and wholeheartedly when others are in need.

So yes, I may be too much for some. But that’s okay. Embracing the overflow of my heart, I will continue to spread compassion and understanding.

I will never be okay with the past abuse and mistreatment I have endured. It is a pain that runs deep, an injustice that cannot be easily brushed aside. I want to be clear: I did not deserve the hurt inflicted upon me, and I am not to blame for the actions of others.

Sometimes, life deals us a hand that feels unjust. It leaves us angry, hurt, and questioning the fairness of it all. But as I move forward, I refuse to let these experiences define me or dim the light that burns within. I hold onto the understanding that I am not responsible for the darkness others carry.

Life can be unpredictable and cruel, but our worth and goodness remain intact. We have the strength to rise above adversity and defy the unfairness that confronts us. As I journey onward, I carry with me the unwavering belief in the inherent goodness of people, refusing to let the bitterness of the past tarnish my spirit.

And so, I embrace the duality of my existence, the perpetual tug-of-war between being too much and never enough.

I am flawed, yet compassionate.

Overflowing, yet resilient.

And in this complex mix of emotions, I find solace, knowing that my purpose lies in spreading love and understanding, even in a world that may not always comprehend the depth of my being.

Think about things ʎlʇuǝɹǝɟɟᴉp

Have you ever caught yourself pondering if your mind operates on a different frequency than the rest of humanity?

Having a creative mind allows you to paint the world with your own vibrant palette

While others may see a simple tree, you see a majestic green giant, swaying to the rhythm of the wind, whispering secrets only you can comprehend

While some people see a box and think, “Hmm, I wonder what’s inside?”

Your mind is already concocting a million and one possibilities

You’re the one who sees a cardboard box and envisions it as a spaceship, a time machine, or even a fort for your inner child

One of the greatest gifts of a creative mind is the ability to change perspectives, as if you have a mental kaleidoscope

You can effortlessly shift from viewing the world through rose-tinted glasses to seeing it through the eyes of a mischievous squirrel, perched atop a nut-filled kingdom

This knack for seeing things from various angles allows you to understand and empathise with others in ways that mere mortals can only dream of

Creativity and problem-solving also go together hand in hand

When faced with a conundrum, your mind doesn’t merely think outside the box; it obliterates the box altogether!

While others may be scratching their heads, you’re busy concocting ingenious solutions that others never even considered

Never doubt the magic that resides within your beautifully wired mind

Embrace your ability to see the world differently, for it grants you the power to bring colour, laughter, and inspiration to a world that often craves it

Celebrate your creativity, befriend fellow dreamers, and together, let’s make this world a little brighter, one imaginative thought at a time!

Your creative mind is a gift that sets you apart

Mogwai-turned-moguls

Gremlins

Being a business founder is like being a Gremlin

Remember how the cute mogwai Gizmo transformed into a bunch of mischievous gremlins?

1. Unpredictable Transformations

Well, being a founder can also lead to unexpected transformations

One moment you’re a calm and collected entrepreneur

The next, you’re dealing with unforeseen challenges

Pivoting strategies, and adapting to the ever-changing market

Embrace the chaos and let your inner gremlin guide you through the madness

2. Nighttime Hustle

Gremlins are notorious for causing mayhem under the cover of darkness

As a business founder, you’ll find yourself burning the midnight oil, working tirelessly to bring your vision to life

Just remember, even gremlins need their beauty sleep too

3. Mischievous Creativity

Gremlins are notorious for their mischievous antics and creative problem-solving

As a business founder, you need to tap into your mischievous side to think outside the box and find innovative solutions

Don’t be afraid to let your inner gremlin out

Just keep your creativity focused on business growth, rather than causing mayhem

4. Adapting to Chaos

Gremlins thrive in chaos, and so do business founders

The ability to adapt and navigate through unpredictable situations is essential for both

Whether it’s handling unexpected setbacks

Or dealing with demanding clients

Channel your inner gremlin’s resilience and adaptability to stay ahead of the game

5. Managing the Gremlin Within

Gremlins are notorious for their unruly behaviour, and as a founder, you’ll encounter your fair share of internal gremlins too

Keep them in check by embracing a positive mindset

Remember that even the most successful founders have battled their own gremlins

6. Balancing Light and Dark

In Gremlins, bright lights are the ultimate enemy of the mischievous creatures

As a founder, you must learn to balance the light and dark aspects of your business

Embrace the light:  Celebrate successes, and foster a positive work culture

Acknowledge the dark: the challenges, setbacks, and occasional failures

Just like the gremlins need darkness to thrive

Your business will grow stronger when you learn from the shadows and adapt accordingly

7.  Resilience

Lastly, both being a gremlin and a founder require an unwavering resilience

Gremlins are notoriously difficult to defeat, bouncing back from setbacks with renewed energy

As a founder, you’ll face numerous obstacles and setbacks along the way, but it’s your resilience that will keep you going

Use that gremlin-like tenacity and bounce back from failures, setbacks, and challenges

Just remember to avoid water, bright lights, and feeding after midnight…

I look in the mirror and cry

Perfection is boring

It’s easy to get caught up in the illusion of perfection

We often find ourselves presenting a flawless image online

♡ Carefully curated with makeup

♡ Filters

♡ Staged selfies

But let’s be real, nobody is perfect

Especially not me

And it’s time I reveal the face I hide and why it’s okay to prioritise our own happiness

1. The Scar That Tells a Story:

Underneath my eye lies a scar

A reminder of a past incident that I’d rather forget

It makes me self-conscious

I hope, one day, it will just become part of me

A unique mark that tells a story

One day I will embrace my scars, physical and  emotional

And be empowered by them as a testament to the strength I possess

I am just not quite there yet…

2. Dark Eyes, Sleepless Nights:

Years of interrupted sleep and sleep deprivation have left me with dark circles under my eyes

While it may hint at my struggle, it also serves as a reminder of the battles I’ve fought and the resilience I’ve developed

It’s a part of who I am, and I have actually learned to accept them as a beautiful imperfection

3. Botox and Fillers:

To combat the toll of stress on my appearance

Some of you have followed my ridiculous stories of botox and fillers

Some may judge this choice

But I feel it’s essential to prioritise our own well-being and happiness

If a face full of makeup and cosmetic enhancements make me feel better about myself, then why not?

We all have our own unique ways of feeling confident and comfortable in our skin

4. The Vulnerable Side of Authenticity:

While I may present a polished image online,

It’s equally important to embrace vulnerability and authenticity.

At home, my hair is often in a scruffy bun, and I’m comfortably clad in a moo moo.

This is the real me, scars and all

Being authentic means accepting and showcasing all sides of ourselves, even those that trigger difficult memories

5. The Power of Choice:

Embracing imperfections doesn’t mean we have to abandon the things that make us feel good

If makeup and staged selfies bring you joy, then go for it!

We all have different ways of finding confidence and self-expression.

The key is to make choices that align with our happiness and not be bound by societal pressures or trends

In a world obsessed with perfection

We sometimes need to remember that we are beautifully imperfect beings

Embracing our scars (one day *fingers crossed*) dark circles and imperfections

Personal choices allows us to cultivate self-acceptance and love

Celebrate the diverse ways in which we find confidence and remember that it’s okay to prioritise our own happiness

So, whether you’re a fan of the “natural life” or a lover of makeup and cosmetic enhancements

Let’s support each other in our journey towards self-acceptance and authenticity

Now pass me the concealer… because today, I choose to feel fabulous 💅

Once Upon a Cavity

Flossy the Tooth-Fairy

In the kingdom of Molarvia, there lived a tooth fairy named Flossie

Flossie wasn’t your typical tooth fairy, in fact, she had a little secret – she was absolutely terrified of teeth and children!

While other tooth fairies gracefully fluttered through children’s bedrooms

Flossie would hyperventilate at the mere sight of a tooth

She couldn’t understand why anyone would willingly want to collect those sharp, pointy things

Or why they would risk encountering children who could potentially gobble her up if they caught her

Flossie’s fear of teeth and children had become a real problem

Every night, she would anxiously fly from one house to another, hoping to find some kind of loophole in her tooth-collecting duties

But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t escape her paralysing fears

One evening, as she sat on a moonbeam, Flossie contemplated her dilemma

“Maybe I should quit this tooth fairy nonsense altogether,” she muttered to herself

“Teeth and children are just terrifying and disgusting”

Flossie pondered these thoughts, hoping to find a way out of her toothy and child-filled troubles

Just then, a wise old owl named Hootie Featherbottom perched on the branch beside her

“Flossie, my dear, you can’t let fear hold you back

Sometimes, you have to face your biggest fears to achieve great things”- the owl hooted

Flossie scoffed, rolling her eyes at Hootie’s absurd advice

“Oh, please, Hootie. What great things can come from collecting teeth and risking being devoured by children?

It’s not like I’m saving the world or anything”

Hootie chuckled and adjusted his spectacles

“You may not realise it, Flossie, but those teeth you collect hold great power

You bring joy and wonder to children

And they mark important milestones in their lives

You have the opportunity to be a part of something truly magical”

How utterly delusional Hootie was to think that teeth and children were anything but terrifying?

Flossie pondered Hootie’s words and realised that perhaps she had been too quick to dismiss her fears

But instead of embracing them and turning them into her so-called “strength”

She decided to embrace her survival instincts and run for her life

After all, being known as the bravest tooth fairy in all of Molarvia wasn’t worth the risk of being devoured by children

And so, Flossie bid farewell to her tooth fairy duties, retreating to a hidden cave where she could live out her days in peace

The only surprises children would find under their pillows were empty spaces where Flossie’s presence should have been

Just like how adults are perpetually empty, these lucky kids got to experience that void at a young age

And so, the moral of this tale is simple:

Sometimes, it’s perfectly okay to let fear control you and run away from your supposed “duties”

Flossie learned that the scariest things should be avoided at all costs, and that running away and hiding in a cave is a valid life choice

Revenge is the New Black

🖤

While some may argue that taking the high ground is the way to go

Let’s not overlook the joys of indulging in a little ‘pettiness’

In this post, we’ll  discuss five compelling reasons why seeking revenge can be a delightful and energy-boosting pursuit

1. Cathartic Release:

Holding onto anger and resentment can be exhausting

Instead of bottling up those feelings, seeking revenge offers that sweet release

Whether it’s through a passive-aggressive comment or hatching an epic prank

The act of getting back at someone can provide an unparalleled sense of satisfaction

Sometimes you just have to let it all out!

2.  Channel your creativity:

Seeking revenge requires a level of creativity that could rival that of a mastermind

From plotting elaborate schemes to crafting the perfect comeback

The sheer artistry involved in seeking revenge can be a thrilling exercise for your imaginative faculties

Painting, writing or crafting?

Pah!

You can channel your creativity into getting even!

3. Instant Gratification:

While patience may be a virtue, who has time for that?

Seeking revenge offers immediate gratification that waiting for karma simply can’t match

Why wait for the universe to do its work when you can take matters into your own hands and revel in the satisfaction of seeing your nemesis squirm?

*Instant happiness* ☺️

4. Assert Your Dominance:

Taking the high ground is overrated

Seeking revenge allows you to assert your dominance and remind others that you’re not one to be messed with

By exacting revenge, you show the world that you’re a force to be reckoned with, and no one can push you around

It’s all about leaving a lasting impression, right?

We all have a little villain lurking within us

5. Bond with your inner villain:

Seeking revenge is the perfect opportunity to embrace that side of yourself

Step into the shoes of your favorite movie antagonist

Let your inner villain out for a spin and revel in the dark side for once

The next time someone wrongs you

Just consider indulging in a little revenge

Relish in the satisfying feeling of getting even

Because sometimes life is too short to pass up on the joys of pettiness!

I cried myself to sleep

Say I never mattered

For the past 5 years, I cried myself to sleep

I was trapped in a living situation that drained me mentally and physically

To the point where I couldn’t even walk

These were supposed to be the years when I could cherish the wonderful milestones my daughter was reaching, as she blossomed into a beautiful little girl

However, all I can remember is pain and despair

Instead of growing my business and thriving

I spent every night curled up at the foot of my daughter’s bed

Unable to sleep,

Function

Or truly live

It was a never-ending loop of just existing…

But then, I discovered LinkedIn

It became a window of hope in my life

Through it, I connected with people who lifted my spirits and motivated me to start moving again

LinkedIn gave me the opportunity to regain control of my life

It provided me with access to my own money and the flexibility to work around my daughter’s needs

Today may be a bad day, but I can confidently say that I experience more good days than bad now

Things are moving in the right direction

Although I still have a lot of fighting and pain to work through

I am no longer imprisoned by the agony of crying myself to sleep each night

I never have to return to that dreadful living situation again

I understand that not every day will be perfect

But I am embracing life once more

I am taking steps forward

And I am free

Remember, even on the toughest days, keep pushing forward

You have already come so far, and there is so much more waiting for you!

Embrace the progress you have made and continue to believe in yourself

You have the strength within you to conquer any challenge that comes your way

Keep moving
Keep growing
Keep living

You are on the path to a brighter future

And I am here cheering you on every step of the way!

The Reusable Rat 🐀- By Wendy Gannon

Rattish Reminiscing: Wendy Gannon 📷

We all know how traumatic losing your virginity can be, and we all know that you shouldn’t let facts ruin a good story.

Well I’m going to tell you how I lost mine, but EVERY FACT IS TRUE!

Buckle in people, you’re in for a treat…

I was a 14 year old normal kid, lacking in confidence, little bit naughty, little bit sassy, little bit ADHD (though I didn’t know it yet – it explains A LOT) and a people pleaser.

On my birthday a group of us were over the fishing lake and when I told them it was my birthday, one boy a few years older than me said (I thought jokingly)

‘I’ve got a present you can have’ and pointed at his knob and laughed

‘WEHEEEY’ everyone cheered

‘Alright’ I said, laughing

‘DO IT DO IT’ is probably what they all chanted

‘Come with me then’ he said

‘Oh….er…. ok then’ I said, to save face and not look like a scared little girl

He walked off and led me to something that was between a wood and a bush, laid me down, and took one leg out of my jeans.

Sexy

He pulled his jeans down like he was going to take a piss, while he said

‘We can do this one of two ways: 1, you open your legs, or 2, you put them over your head.’

I aint putting nothing over my head sunshine, not until I’m at LEAST 15.

‘I’ll just open my legs’

Before he mounted me, he stretched up and put his (actually not bad from what I can remember) penis in my mouth…so I bit it.

WHAT WAS HE DOING?!

Yes, I was born and raised in Essex, but I hadn’t fallen in love with gob jobs yet.

He moved back down and said ‘this might hurt’

WAIT!!!! I can get out of this!?!?!

‘Do you have a condom? I’m not shagging you without a condom’

‘No…wait there, I’ll run and get one’

Off he ran, leaving me laying in the bushes with one leg out of my jeans.

He ran to the entrance of the park, jump the fence to run over the dual carriageway, up the road and into the square where he lived and back again.

This is when it happened.

‘I didn’t have a normal condom, but I found this on top of my wardrobe’

He opened his hand and presented me with what I can only describe as a

Dusty Red Rubber Reusable condom in the shape of a RAT….with arms…

And he proceeded to fuck me and smash my poor little hymen with it while I winced in pain.

Why on EARTH I didn’t stop him I’ll never know.

It lasted about 3 minutes and he was ever so proud of himself.

And THAT is the story I told my daughter when we walked past the bush to explain how NOT to lose your virginity.

📢 𝗣𝗦𝗔: 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒖𝒑 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔!

#selfie

Nothing says authenticity like a perfectly posed, filtered, and edited picture of yourself

↝Trust and connection?

Who needs that when you can just show off your flawless face?

🤳*𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴*

A well-crafted selfie is the key to building and stabilising your personal brand

Forget about showcasing your skills, expertise, or achievements

Just focus on creating a visual self-presentation

It needs to scream:
“𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆, 𝑰’𝒎 𝒔𝒐 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕!”

🤳*𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁*

Because we all know that likes and comments on a selfie are the epitome of meaningful engagement

Who needs actual conversations or valuable interactions when you can just count the number of likes you get, and fire emojis? 🔥

It’s the ultimate measure of success

Don’t forget to use your selfies with “taste and impact.”

We wouldn’t want people to think you’re self-absorbed, right?

Just keep pretending that your perfectly curated selfie game is all about art and substance

🤳*𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲*

Your audience just can’t resist seeing your face plastered all over their feed

Who needs variety or interesting content when they can have a never-ending stream of your selfies?

They are just dying to know what you look like every single day

Forget about sharing valuable information or insights, all they really care about is your latest hairstyle or your filler filled lips

Your audience also really appreciates your constant need for validation and attention 💅

They enjoy the constant reminder that you exist

Without your daily barrage of selfies, they might actually forget that you’re out there, doing amazing things

🤳*𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲?*

I now find myself at a crossroads…

Unsure whether my previous statements were intended as sarcasm or not 🤔

Isn’t it fascinating to observe how a significant portion of these seemingly ludicrous quotes,
resonate with the reality of being a content creator

Despite their absurdity, they manage to capture certain undeniable truths

This paradoxical nature highlights the effectiveness of satire

In shedding light on topics that necessitate deliberation 🤔

While writing statically may initially seem like a

“𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒏𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆, 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒔”

Ironically, it manages to reveal truths

Whilst still providing an entertaining experience

Having a bad day?

The distance from dreams to reality is really far and probably impossible

Don’t you worry, I have some advice to help you get through it

We are all in this together….until I have something better to do

1. Drown your sorrows in a bathtub full of ice cream. Because nothing says self-love like a sugar-induced coma and an expanding waistline

2. Write a resignation letter to the universe, expressing your disappointment in it’s lack of consideration for your feelings

3. Create a voodoo doll of yourself and poke it incessantly, transferring all your negative energy into it; so it, in turn, passes it back to yourself. So you are stuck in an endless circle of pain

4. Have an imaginary argument with a Linkedinfluencer in your head. Let your frustration out by passionately debating with them about important issues like whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not

5. Host a pity party for one. Decorate your living room with black balloons, play sad songs, and indulge in a feast of junk food. Embrace the darkness and revel in your misery

6. Start a collection of rejection letters and frame them on your wall. Admire your ability to consistently be overlooked and take pride in your resilience. Who needs validation anyway?

7. Take a long, contemplative walk on a treadmill that’s set on the slowest speed possible. Reflect on the mundanity of life and wonder if there’s some kind of conspiracy against your happiness

8. Write a strongly worded letter to your favorite inanimate object, expressing your disappointment in its inability to bring you joy. After all, your toaster should know better than to burn your toast

9. Create a “wall of shame” featuring all your embarrassing moments and failures. Remind yourself of your shortcomings daily, because what’s life without a constant reminder of your inadequacy?

10. Change your voicemail greeting to a dramatic monologue about your terrible day. Make sure to include sobbing for dramatic effect

Hope that has been helpful, and just remember…

Things will probably get worse
